Prior to joining the Market Designs team, Richard was Senior Technical Specialist in eCommerce and Airlines IT/Hosting Service at Worldspan. He was also an application developer in communication application and automation operations. He developed the first TCP/IP interface based on MATIP (Map Airline Traffic over IP) protocol. He supported Worldspan’s mission-critical data center daily operation for more than three years before becoming a developer, a system administrator and a technical sales specialist.
Richard played an important role in Worldspan’s Asia Market expansion. He lived and worked in Hong Kong as the sole technical support manager for all eCommerce accounts and applications with connectivity in Asia. He worked very closely with customers in Asia and is extremely knowledgeable about the technical and business markets there, especially in China, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Before joining Worldspan, Richard was a system programmer in the Information Technology Center at the University of Louisville and supported the centralized computer systems for research and administration.
Richard was very active in the local Chinese community and spent two terms as Vice President of ACP (Associate of Chinese Professionals). He has organized several Sino-USA conferences and cultural exchange programs, and has helped many business people and government leaders in China to expand business in the U.S.
Richard has a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Louisville and a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering from Shanghai University. |
