Before joining Market Designs, Lori Jones Whitted was Vice President for Agency, Corporate & Government Product Planning and Marketing at Worldspan.  In that role, she was responsible for establishing and leading a newly chartered product planning and marketing organization.  She was responsible for developing the framework for determining product development priorities and rationalizing development investment.  Prior to taking on the product planning role, Lori was the general manager of the corporate and government accounts group that services more than 1600 of Worldspan’s corporate customers.  She and her team were responsible for increasing revenues by 220% during her first 6 months of managing the business, despite microeconomic declines in corporate travel spending.

 

Lori is an experienced manager, with a diverse commercial background.  She was Vice President of Convergence Strategy and Business Development for Verisign.  She co-founded the McLean Group, a private investment bank serving the middle market and was a principal founder and investor in Image Café.  She has worked as a vice president in Business Development for The Washington Post Company and as a Consultant with The Boston Consulting Group.   Lori started her career in financial planning and worked as a cost analyst for First Union National Bank and as a financial planning analyst with General Electric Corporation in both their Semiconductor and Commercial Equipment Financing units.

 

Lori has a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Duke University.
